Basics of Usability Evaluation
Usability evaluation mainly focuses on how well users can learn and use the product to achieve their objectives. This also refers to how users are treated in this procedure. To collect this information, specialists use a variety of techniques that gather user reviews around the current site or plans are identified related to the new site. Usability Evaluation is one of the main topics of CSU (Charles Sturt University) syllabus.
What is usability?
Usability refers to the nature of the user experiences while communicating with elements or frames, including sites, programs, gadgets, or applications. The usability is applied to the capability, competence, and general satisfaction of the user.
Keep in mind that usability is not only one-dimensional property of an element, framework, or user interface. "Usability" is a mixture of variables, which includes:
- Efficiency of use: It deals with the speed with which a user can perform their tasks successfully.
- Memorization: Memorization deals with users after visiting the website, if the user can remember how to deal with site in future.
- Ease of implementation: It deals with the speed with which a user who has never observed a user interface can achieve basic obligations.
- Error Frequency and Severity: how often users make mistakes, use frames how the errors are serious and how the system can be recovered from errors.
- Intuitive design: It ensures that site is providing almost easy understanding of the navigation and architecture of the site.
- Subjective performance: User is enjoying using the website services.
What are the evaluation methods?
The way to develop very useful and usable sites is employing a user-centered design. The expression of test early and often is appropriate when it comes to usability testing. As a feature of UCD, individuals should test as best as possible at all times, and the choice of available methods allows you to improve the content, the information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and general user satisfaction.

- Recommend extensions and improvements.
