Business case is a direct justification of proposed or undertaken project on the basis of correspondingly expected benefit. A business case is considered as written value proposition that intended to educate a decision maker so that he can take better future decision. A business case should consist of problem statement, situation analysis, cost benefit analysis, and project proposal.

According to my point of view, an excellent business case captures the reasoning for initiating task or project. The business case brings together the benefits, costs, risks and impacts of business operations, business opportunities and organization’s capability to deliver the project outcomes.
