Agile project management is a systematic approach that is used in project management effectively. It is a process which is based on delivering overall specified requirements iteratively within PLC, i.e. project life cycle. As per my analysis, Agile project methodology is adopted by most of the organisation’s so that the overall execution of the projects is improved. In the project management, following agile methodologies are widely used-
· Agile Scrum methodology.
· Lean and Kanban software development.
· Extreme programming.
· Feature driven development.
Agile project management (APM) is an iterative methodology to guiding and planning project processes. The primary benefits of Agile project management are the ability to respond to the issues throughout the life cycle of the project. This divides the projects into small pieces, which are completed in the work sessions that implements from the initial phase to the final phase and quality assurance. Further, these are also called as sprints. The term sprints used for iteration in specific agile development approach which is known as agile scrum development.
Agile project management is a methodology used for managing the development of software projects. The main goal of Agile project management methodology is to develop project that ensures high customer satisfaction. The four major values associated with Agile methodology are- skilled individual can interact and opt this approach for development of project, it delivers function and working project to client in increments, establish close relationship with customers, capable of adopting changes quickly without affecting the functional behavior of the software. Agile methodology is suitable for complex project in which requirements are not clear to the customer and project manager. This methodology supports rapid requirement changing environment.
As per my learning, Agile project management is an approach to planning and guiding project processes in an iterative manner. In agile project management, project development team can manage and complete a project in small sections called “sprints”. Agile project management reduces the complexity where project requirements change constantly. It allows project development team to produce smaller deliverables and test for any flaws. Agile project management continuously evaluates time and cost as primary constraints. Rapid feedback, continuous adaption, and quality assurance best practices are followed by project team in Agile project management approach. Agile project management approach encourages diversity of ideas, allowing the early release of benefits and promotion of continuous improvement
